Title: Banana Nut Bread

Yield: 12 Servings
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
3 large bananas, mashed
1/4 cup sour milk
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
3 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Salt to taste
1/2 bottle maraschino cherries
1/2 bottle cherry juice
1/2 cup nuts
Directions:
Cream sugar, brown sugar, and shortening in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, bananas, sour milk, and vanilla. Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, stirring until moistened. Stir in cherries and cherry juice. Fold in nuts. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until loaf tests done. Remove to wire rack to cool.
